The Laikipia Programme delivers on the mission of the Zeitz Foundation in Laikipia County, Kenya, home to the headquarters of the Foundation. The mission of the Zeitz Foundation is to create and support sustainable, ecologically and socially responsible projects and destinations around the world to achieve long-lasting impact and sustainability through the holistic balance of Conservation, Community, Culture and Commerce (the 4Cs) in privately managed areas.

The Zeitz Foundation Kenya has a comprehensive programme which is centred on the Greater Segera area but which spreads throughout Laikipia. This programme integrates the 4C's into all activities and in so doing address sustainable ecosystem management in a holistic manner. 

In keeping with the Zeitz Foundation’s philosophy of collaboration, all these projects are implemented in collaboration with a range of appropriate and committed partner organisations. Our primary partners are the communities surrounding Segera and throughout Laikipia.
