The Zeitz Foundation is collaborating with the social enterprise Wonderbag, which is focused on solving energy poverty, empowering women, and creating sustainable communities living in balance with the environment. In December 2012 they visited the Zeitz Foundation to launch this innovative way of halving energy consumption for cooking in Laikipia. togeether we have been working with the Wonderbag team to introduce Wonderbags to our communities surrounding Segera. This photostory shows you how the communities received the "Wonderbag" and tells you how it can change people's lives. Over the next six months we will monitor and evaluate the uptake of the bag by our neighbours. If all goes well, we will be incorporating it into the Laikipia Unity Programme next year.
